Aerena Nightstar

Aerena Nightstar was born in Aeriador and raised between the worlds of Aeriador and Toril. Her father is Azazael (Aerendyl Nightstar), a powerful high elven wizard become Demon Lord, creator of the plane of Aeriador and ruler of Pazunia, the first layer of the Abyss. Given his station in the Abyss, he was rarely present in her early years as he was preoccupied by his thirst for knowledge, and the growth of his power-base. Although he himself was seldom home with her, he made sure she was well cared for. She always had the aspect of her father nearby... He would be endearing if not for his overprotectiveness which was his primary directive and raison d'etre.

Her mother is Amara Nightwater (Caerunox), a sea elven psion become Demon Lord.  Her mother nurtured much of her young development, but like her father, she was often away on business. She was expanding her enterprise and creating relationships with people of influence for her collection in order to satisfy her desire to control the world through sensual manipulation. She created a network throughout the realms and placed her nightclub in a few of the larger metropolitans in Aeriador, Faerun and on select planes in The Abyss called As You Wish. Despite her growing appetite for power, she prioritized creating a safe and nurturing environment for Aerena. She also created an aspect to be at home with her when she was unable to be there herself. 

Her father has many enemies, so they moved between their two homes when necessary. It was not a traditional upbringing, but Aerena was a clever girl and very adaptable. With the aspects of her parents everpresent, her young years were not dissimilar to that of any other child. Though both parents are Demon Lords, she was conceived before their metamorphosis and ascension to power, and therefore inherited no demonic traits.

Aerena's physical appearance mostly takes on traits from her father's Tel'Celien (Silver Elf) side. Her eyes are violet, and her hair is dark like her mother's with a dark green overtone. 

From a young age, Aerena displayed high aptitude in the arcane arts. Her mother naturally mentored her in psychic disciplines. When not focusing on her psychic training, she studied in her father's library researching the history of different schools of magic.

Her mother also had her train with Celeborn from a young age to learn self defense. Traumatized from past events, Amara was very distrusting of anyone for a long while and put Aerena's safety as the highest priority. So it was critical that she learn to at least to ward off an attacker, and who better to instruct her than the greatest weapons master in all the realms.  To everyone's surprise, Aerena also showed great skill with martial weapons. Her weapon of choice is a scimitar. As her training advanced, the one handed weapon with a curved blade was easily wieldable and remained her favorite.

What started out as defensive lessons advanced to full martial training, and her skills developed in a unique way: she blended her physical prowess with her arcane and psionic talents for lethal effect.

Her father extracted all memories associated with him and her mother and stored them in various gems. He then scattered them throughout Aeriador for her to seek them out.

She knows who she is and her knowledge gained from her studies and her training, but no longer has memory of her family ties. 

He also placed a mind blank on her family ring to mask her location.

After the extraction, Aerena fell unconscious and Aerendyl took her to the small rural town of Sandpoint, displaced from anything she'd be familiar with.

Mythic ascension event

After they left the ruins of the Temple of Azazael, Aerena discovered an unintended consequence of her strike against Azazea, high priestess of Azazael; she had inadvertently absorbed the harvested souls of the captured druids through the energy that burst out of her from her attack. 

With the aid of the local desert druids who possessed the knowledge and rituals necessary to release the trapped souls, she was able to help them to find peace in the afterlife.

The goddess Selene witnessed her act of kindness which gained Aerena her favor; she bestowed a divine blessing upon Aerena for her selflessness and compassion towards the druids.

Aerena's timeline

Up to 20 years old is general education and Psionics through play and immersion.

Age 20 to 40 she studies at the various universities in Dol Amroth learning histories,  arcana, weapons training, and more general education.

Age 40 to 45 takes some time to wander. Travel Aeriador. Observe other cities and cultures.

Age 45 to 65 she returns home and dedicates time with Amara to more intently  study and improve her psionic abilities.

Considered level 1 in psionics

Age 65 to 75 she finds a master to continue improving skills in weapon fighting. Then realizes she can deliver spell attacks through a weapon attacks...

Begins exploring that: Magus 0

Age 75 she wants to explore more arcana through practicum. She goes to Aerendyl and he entrusts her apprenticeship to a high level wizard at the school in Dol Amroth. After 5 years of studying as an apprentice, he sees she is ready for him to instruct her.  He nurtures her studies in arcana for about 10 years.

Age ~90 years old, she needs to maintain her skills in psionics, arcana, and sword. A lot with sword...
 

She continues to train to increase her skills with sword while continuing to study arcana. 

So she'll go south to Angmar and apply her magus skills in either the school or with better fighters. Another 5-10 years.
