Celeborn's Lament

Composed by the shores of Loch Celwyn, in his sorrow and mourning, Ithryn sang the song of Celeborn's Lament. 
 

Celeborn’s Lament

In the common tongue of Aeriador

Flame, flame, the heavens mourn,
As stars in sorrow’s veil are torn.
Gone, gone, the light so bright,
Celeborn fades into endless night.

The dark of night’s unyielding fold,
Where Lamashtu’s fury blackens gold.
Blood, blood, the bitter cost,
Zemira weeps for all she’s lost.

By her tears, the stars grow pale,
Evil shall fall, shall fall.
Yet love’s bright flame has flickered low,
Evil shall fall.

Verse 2 (English)
Wind, wind, in mournful breath,
The bond of love unbroke by death.
Gone, gone, her guiding star,
Celeborn's light now dim and far.

Grief, grief, in silence worn,
Her heart is bound, forever torn.
Blood, blood, her soul in woe,
For Celeborn she wanders slow.
