Born amidst the twilight of the First Age, Elenyë Neylis came into the world as if drawn from the echo of an older time, when beauty and grace were at their zenith. The halls of Azurespire, where she was raised, have long remembered her as the shining light among the court of Aered Bruien. Her lineage ties her to the noble houses of the Silver and Grey Elves of old, and to the noble Danemar of men. She is renowned for her voice—clear and pure, as if the very stars wove themselves into her song.

Elenyë is no mere bard. She is counted among the great singers of the age, and her voice, when raised in song, has the power to still the hearts of those who hear it. It is said that her song is like that of the nightingale, and her beauty—ethereal and serene—reminds all who see her of ages long past, and Elenyë carries with her an air of melancholy grace, a reminder of a world more perfect than the one that now endures.

Her Life as a Bard

From her earliest days, Elenyë was drawn to the art of music. She trained at the College of Ollamh and later honed her skills in spy-craft in the more rustic halls of the Fochlucan College of Henneth Annun. The melodies she learned became more than just songs—they were magic, capable of healing, inspiring, and enchanting the hearts of all who heard them. Her voice could lift spirits or summon tears, for it was with song that she connected to both the living and the very soul of nature.

Though she traveled the wilds and learned the ways of the druids and the skills of rogues, it was her bardic talent that shaped her path. Her graceful hands plucked the strings of the harp as easily as they wielded a blade, and her songs carried the wisdom of ancient times, but always her heart returned to the power of music. Her druidic and rogue skills served to deepen her connection to the world and the shadows she could walk, but always in service of her greater gift—her voice.

Tall (6'4"), with fiery red-golden hair and emerald eyes, Elenyë was as graceful as the elves of the elder days, and her presence was such that it seemed she carried with her the light of the Two Trees of Aman. There were few who could stand before her beauty without feeling as if they had glimpsed a vision from some lost, more perfect age. It was her beauty, her voice in song, and nobility of character, that captured the heart of Ithryn Emrais, Ranger of the North.

The Meeting with Ithryn Emrais

In the year 852 SA, fate brought Ithryn Emrais, a ranger of the North, into the life of her brother, Eregon, and by that thread, into Elenyë’s own. Ithryn, though a ranger and druid of great skill, was also a man of deep reflection and noble blood, descended from the ancient houses of elves and men. The two men formed a swift friendship, united by their love for the land and their shared ancestry.

When Ithryn and Elenyë first met, it was as though the stars aligned. There was a silence between them that spoke more than words ever could. Ithryn, with his calm strength and deep wisdom, saw in her not only a beauty that surpassed all others, but a spirit of music and light that matched the stars themselves. Elenyë, in turn, was captivated by his presence—tall, quiet, with a strength like the old oaks of the forest, unbending yet gentle.

Their courtship unfolded slowly, in the manner of elves, for time meant little to them. Over years, they found themselves drawn together by a love that grew as naturally as the song of the wind in the trees. Ithryn admired Elenyë’s ability to inspire hope through her music, while she marveled at his connection to the natural world. He was a man of few words, but his heart spoke volumes, and his deep affection for her was clear to all who knew them.

By the year 929 SA, their bond had become unbreakable. Before Ithryn departed on a quest of great importance, he gave Elenyë a delicate ring of mithril and adamant—a symbol of his love, and a promise that their hearts would remain united despite the long roads they might travel apart.
