Nymuae Du Fontaine

Nymuae Du Fontaine (pronounced Nim-YOU-way) is a female human Danmar of House Fontaine, a high noble family of House Marach. She is one of the most beautiful (App 24) Danemar Nobles in all of Aeriador and her beauty is renowned throughout Gondolin and the Kingdom of the Danemar in Henneth Annun.  Indeed, there is no Danemar or human woman of Gondolin more beautiful than Nymuae. She is tall, as the Danemar are wont to be, standing 5'11", and she has the fair skin of her family line and raven black hair. Of all the Hierophants of the Cabal, Nymuae is the only one who is also a powerful Archmage whose illusion magic is deceptively powerful. Because of her talent in the arcane and her incredible beauty, she is known locally in Gondolin and Henneth Annun as the Enchantress. Nymuae is immortal through her mythic tiers. She was born in the year 8790 of the First Age and has been alive for more than 1200 years. She was a powerful and influential force during the Great Demonic Wars.

Nymuae is ambitious and she uses her beauty, charisma, and illusion magic to influence the actions of others, usually in her favor. She can also be very kind, but when she encounters injustice her rage can be frightening. She sees this mentality as a more raw personification of nature like the power of an untamed storm. Finduilen values her untamed and unfiltered tongue. Few can rival her beauty, and fewer still can rival her mental prowess. It is said only Aerena Nightstar is her equal in both beauty and intellect. Having met Aerena during her visit to the Isle of Cel, Nymuae was able to ascertain that Aerena was indeed both her equal in beauty and intellect. 

Nymuae has a fondness and great respect for Ithryn Emrais having a foresight into his greatness within the Druidic Order, and she believes she would have been a better mentor to him than Shadowmoon because of Ithryn's skill in arcane magic. Her fondness of him led her to assist Shadowmoon in the creation of Ithryn's Ring of the Initiate, adding to it powerful illusion magic.

Nymuae highly prizes the elven rings of power designed and made for the Initiates of the Cabal, and she had her own ring made in their likeness, although more delicate and feminine, but her ring is of lesser power than the ring of Ithryn. Made by the elven smiths of Cel of a gold and mithral alloy and set with an amethyst gemstone mined by the dwarves the Iron Hills, the ring is exceptionally beautiful. Nymuae's ring acts as a Ring of Protection +4, provides a +4 enhancement bonus to all Saves, and acts as a Ring of Wizardry I and II.
