Elwing Elutar, female Tel'Danien (half-elven) (Sorceress 16/Archmage 3)

Mother of Ithryn Emrais and Indis, and wife of Caldorin. Born in FA 7702, she is a Tel'danien (half-elven) and her lineage is 28.13% Silver Elf, 34.37% Gold Elf, 25% Danemar, and 12.5% Demonic Outsider. Elwing is directly, through the unbroken line of first born sons, related to Galadhon Singollo of the High House of Arandal, and of the House of Ingwen, the only surviving house of the Vanyar in Aeriador. Elwing is also a distant great cousin of the Lady Goldmoon. Elwing is exceptionally beautiful and is said to share in the beauty of her mother Idril and grandmother Eärmin. Elwing's natural Appearance is 27. 

Like her father, Ereinion the Tall, Elwing has inherited her family's stature and stands 6'5", and that height is passed on to her children, Ithryn and Indis. Elwing was the third child born in her family, with her two brothers, Arndir and Andor, both being killed in the Great Demonic Wars.

She is an accomplished sorceress and the first teacher of Ithryn in arcane magic. Although not a bard, she is also an accomplished singer and taught Ithryn and Indis, from very young ages, many songs to sing.

She is a longtime friend of Yennswe Weyland, the wife of the current Great Druid of Northern Annun, and has created for her a ring of youthful appearance.  Yennswe and Elwing have been on many adventures together and Yennswe as been a great help in training Ithryn in his early days as a druid, before he traveled to the Isle of Cel. After the death of Caldorin, Yennswe became the godmother of Ithryn at Elwing's request, even though Ithryn is considerably older than Yennswe.

Elwing has a permanent Arcane Sight spell which causes her eyes to glow blue when she uses that ability.
