<p><strong>Notes from chat on sub group of the church, posted January 25th, 2023.</strong></p><p><i>An illuminati type organization that was founded by the church of Zemira. It's primary goal is to inhibit the advancement of Rhune in Aeriador.</i></p><p><i>Example: discouraging trade, encouraging worship of goodly gods, advocating for laws to be passed against worship of evil gods (dismantlement of temples etc)</i></p><p><i>*is the focus of the Church of Zemira to spread peace and love and joy and light, bring mercy where none exists, bring healing to the sick, food and water to the hungry.*</i></p><p> </p><p><i>Yes, Zemira is a benevolent god. Would not force a "one true faith" </i></p><p> </p><p><i>*Will the church of Zemira be focused on the destruction of evil, the destruction of evil temples, the over-throwing of evil rulers, etc.*</i></p><p><i>This is *not* the primary focus of the church.</i></p><p><i>However</i></p><p><i>I feel organizations would develop under or be founded by high ranking members of the church.</i></p><p><i>These organizations may create their own focused missions in the name of Zemira</i></p><p><i>This organization that I have been thinking of is focused on Rhune and their influence and potential danger to Aeriador.</i></p><p><i>So they would want to strategically placed members around Aeriador in influential positions to advocate against actions that would be beneficial to Rhune</i></p><p><i>Another organization could arise that's more radical and want to smite all things evil.</i></p><p><i>So they go after the temples of the evil gods and anything associated to evil... radically lawful good</i></p><p><i>If there is too much waves coming from those crusaders, there would be some intervention</i></p><p><i>I think she can not give permission for every act</i></p><p><i>But if an organization acts outside of what the church stands for there would be intervention by the churchThe organization watching, preventing and countering moves from Rhune would not have the means to *attack*</i></p><p><i>But</i></p><p><i>As a counter intelligence organization, if somehow they discovered a weakness or an opportunity to attack, they may alert the ones would could attack.</i></p><p><i>But in general I do not see that happening.</i></p><p><i>I think they would be at a stalemate and that is the goal</i></p><p><i>As long as Rhune doesn't grow in power, they are content.</i></p><p><i>They are not intent on eradicating the country.</i></p><p><br> </p><p><i>One of the things I was trying to explain about the counter intelligence organization is that it will try to control the flow of resources where Rhune is concerned</i></p><p><i>Don't let them have large port hubs or main trade routes, etc.</i></p><p><i>They are large and have power and numbers (if I recall)</i></p><p><i>So the way to balance that is control the economics around it</i></p><p><i>The way I imagine it currently is that the church organization has done it's part to create tension and mistrust towards Rhune within each nation it was assigned to influence.</i></p><p><i>To me that doesn't allow Rhune to just take something it wants without resistance</i></p><p><i>And to me that is significant because it creates more work.</i></p><p><i>Yes, naturally they will find other ways to get what they want. But it's not with the same level of ease as walking up and placing an order.</i></p><p><i>And yes, I do expect ships that align with Zemira will be targeted by it's mercenaries and Navy.</i></p><p><i>I'm just trying to explain that I fully understand that countries can not be stopped short of taking them over.</i></p><p><i>But that's not the goal.</i></p><p><i>Eradicating the country is not the way.</i></p><p><i>Creating disruption and ease of access is enough of a deterrent for now.</i></p><p><i>If the organization needs assistance they have access to the military of the church...but that takes time</i></p>
