Each Knight of Dane, bound by sacred duty, strives to uphold the tenets of faith, honour, and valour, bearing an important mantle within this esteemed hierarchy.The Three - This revered triumvirate stands as the apex of the Chivalric Order of Dane. Manifestations of justice, valor, and holiness, The Three signify the peak of authority, serving as unwavering lodestars for each knight within our hallowed fellowship. They embody the quintessence of chivalric principles and unwavering duty to our deity, Tyr, and the realm of Henneth Annun.Seneschal – Crowned as the First among The Three, the Seneschal stands at the helm of the Order. A beacon of both wisdom and courage, the Seneschal is a seasoned Paladin of Tyr. In times of peace, they deftly administer all lands that fall under the jurisdiction of the Knights of Dane. However, when the war horns sound, the Seneschal leads the charge, a figure of awe on the battlefield. Their blood red tunic, adorned with golden symbols, is a testimony to their authority and the burdens they bear.Turcopolier – The Turcopolier holds the second seat among The Three, the spiritual soul within the martial body of the Order. Drawn from the House of Marach, this esteemed figure is a Cleric of Tyr with an abundance of battlefield experience. In the <a href="https://kanka.io/en/campaign/23144/organisations/228518">Holy Church of the Just Scales</a>, the Turcopolier will hold the rank of Justiciar Major. As the head of all Knight Priests and a spiritual mentor, the Turcopolier not only ministers to the spiritual needs of the knights but also raises the standard of Tyr's faith within the Order. Their blood-red tunic, encrusted with silver symbols, speaks of their devotion to both faith and command.Marshal – The final pillar among The Three, the Marshal, stands as a testament to strategic brilliance and martial prowess. This Paladin of Tyr is entrusted with the logistical and martial affairs of the Order. From overseeing arms and equipment to strategizing battlefield tactics, the Marshal fortifies the Order’s martial strength. The Marshal's red tunic, distinguished by its black symbols, portrays the weight of their responsibilities and their unwavering commitment to the order.Collectively, The Three form a formidable trifecta of leadership that steers the Order of Dane. They uphold the principles of the Order and are the embodiment of its divine mission, symbolizing faith, martial prowess, and a commitment to the protection of Henneth Annun. They stand as a testament to the lofty ideals we all strive to reach within this chivalric brotherhood.Under-Marshal – The Under-Marshal, a singular figure of authority, ensures the smooth running of the Order's operations. Tasked with logistical responsibilities, the Under-Marshal ensures the knights are well-equipped and well-provisioned. Bearing a black tunic adorned with red symbols, they are the backbone of the order's functionality, a stalwart upon whom the order heavily relies.Grand Commander – A Knight Commander who distinguishes himself in battle and in the service of Tyr may ascend to this esteemed rank. They lead a legion of knights into battle, wielding command with dexterity and precision. Their light blue tunic, emblazoned with red symbols, is a testament to their significant accomplishments and responsibilities.Knight Commander – Within the rank of the Knight Priests stand those who are ready to command, and the Knight Commander serves as a critical role in the chain of command. A Knight Commander provides on-field leadership, coordinating tactics and leading their charges into battle. Their light blue tunic bears white symbols, reflecting their integral role in the order's military structure.Knight Priests – This rank is bestowed upon those who demonstrate exceptional piety and martial prowess, combining the strength of arm with the strength of faith. As champions of Tyr, they serve as spiritual leaders, infusing the order with divine inspiration. The Knight Priests are usually of the noble Houses of Belor and Haladan, each holding their lineage in high regard.Knight Elders – Symbolizing the fusion of wisdom and experience, Knight Elders are veterans of the order, their service extending beyond their 50th year. Their accumulated wisdom guides their judgement, making them invaluable advisors. Their black tunic is emblazoned with red symbols, a testament to their age and the respect accorded to them.Knight Brothers – This rank is bestowed upon Sergeant Knights after 10 years of exemplary service. With their leadership capabilities and martial prowess, they inspire the knights under their command. Their black tunics bear the white symbols of the order, signifying their maturity and responsibility.Sergeant Knight – Proven knights may ascend to this rank after 5 years of service. As the first formal rank in the knightly hierarchy, they play an essential role in maintaining the Order's martial excellence. The Sergeant Knights' white tunic, carrying red symbols, conveys their status and commitment to the Order.Knight – Upon attaining their 18th year, Squires who have served diligently may progress to this rank. As Knights, they form the mainstay of the order's military might, honing their martial skills while carrying out their duties. Adorned with a white tunic featuring black symbols, they embody the aspirational spirit of the Order.Squire – These novices serve under a Knight, attending to their needs while learning the principles of chivalry and martial combat. Their grey tunic, emblazoned with the order's black symbols, represents their initial steps on the path to knighthood.Each rank and position within the Order of Dane is a testament to the diversity and complexity of our sacred brotherhood.
