Eldalótë is the beautiful daughter of the Princess Earwën and the Elf Lord Amdir of the House of Írimë.  She is among the tallest of the elven princesses of old, standing 6'6". She is unique in all of Aeriador in that she loved and wed the demon prince Izzuwuz of the underworld. Their love was so great that legend holds the power of love over him was his redemption.  After the birth of his daughter, he became so enamored of the life he had created with his wife, he took the form of an Elf Lord and the elven name Taurindal.  Their daughter is the beautiful gold elf maiden Eärmin, and she is counted as one of the most beautiful of all the children of Aeriador.

It is said that after Eärmin wed the Danemar lord Aranthor, Eldalótë and Taurindal left Annun for the shores of Arvandor, but it is not known if they ever reach the island of the elves. They have never been seen since. (missing since FA 6045, presumed dead). In truth, they were both taken body and soul into the Celestial realm where they continue to live. 
 

The Lay of Eldalótë tells the story of the love between the lady and the demon, and how the demon was redeemed at the sight of his daughter.
